Dealing with Bleeding Hemorroids?

The solution to cure bleeding hemorroids can actually be either the conventional use of medication or natural remedies, and perhaps in some cases, a mix of both.

Bleeding hemorroids is a common condition suffered by a lot of males and a number of pregnant women. Some people find this an uncomfortable topic to discuss so they usually bear with the discomfort and do not know how to cure the situation.

Bleeding hemorroids is actually a natural occurrence when you have the condition. It is caused by the swelling and inflammation of the veins, either in the inner or outer anal area. When it gets irritated, it causes itchiness and bleeding.

Although not a life threatening condition, if left untreated for a long period of time, this may be the start of complications and other health conditions. Blood is initially noticed when it either comes with the stool or can be seen on the toilet paper when cleaning the affected area. But, aside from hemorroids, there are also other intestinal problems that may cause bleeding. So, it is important to have this checked out with your doctor and not take the issue for granted.

Upon recognizing if it is truly just hemorroids, different treatments and remedies may be given whether the problem is internal or external.

For external cases, a warm bath or a sitz bath after passing stool would help give relief tremendously. You can also have a choice of using a saline solution with your sitz bath instead of warm water, or perhaps you prefer using ice packs on the area affected. There are a number of natural remedies that can help ease the pain and itching. Some of which are applying witch hazel ointment, taking horse chestnut, or butcher’s broom, which are more commonly found in tea or pill form.

For cases of internal hemorroids, there are some over-the-counter medications, such as suppositories that will also work well. In extreme cases, a surgical procedure is needed to treat the problem vein. This is also the fastest solution for the existing problem, but not an assurance that it will not happen again. That is why steps must be taken to change causes of how the problem came to in the first place, such as lifestyle and diet.

New developments in the treatment of hemorroids have come up with a combination of using minerals, natural supplements, herbs, and vitamin E. These have been proven to treat the problems right at their source and work both in curing and in prevention.

So, as you see, bleeding hemorroids can be cured with simple means that are easily available.
